I got tired of bugging my children or googling every little thing when I grab one of the kids Macs to look something up so I picked up How to use a Mac - Quick and Easy. The Ultimate Guide for PC Switchers. I found it to be a great guide. I'm a really experienced PC user and while I found some parts to be overly explained for experience level, I suspect that the explanations are perfect for an average user. My only real complaint is that the book just ends. I kept trying to scroll forward in my Kindle looking for a conclusion, a wrap up, something. All in all, the book is s great resource for those looking to move to a Mac.

Cook's clear and concisely written book makes switching platforms a breeze. All of the basics are covered and even more advanced functions' parallels on Mac are made easy to find, simple to use. As an avid PCer, this book really helped me on times when I had to jump on a dreaded Mac. ; ) It is definitely worth a download!
I returned this book - out dated for 2015. After receiving it I realized the operating system wasn't clearly noted in the description of the book.
I have just changed from a pc to a mac and I found this book hugely helpful. Diagrams made it easy to follow.
I am new to Mac after many years with Windows and Linux. Of these three this book is the best for new users I have ever seen. It provides just the right balance of information for new users , in a clear and concise language. Once I have these basics in hand and my new Mac set up I plan to stick with this MacWorld training series for my learning needs.
